Steve

Steve qualified as a teacher way back in 1982 and worked in London initially before moving in 1986 to the East Riding of Yorkshire. He worked in a variety of schools in the Primary sector , retiring from education as Headteacher in 2017. Steve was the Maths, Science and IT leader for the schools in which he worked as well as performing leading roles in assessment and Special Educational Needs.

After retirement Steve lost his wife to cancer and took a break from work, but returned to a less stressful employment with DHL in 2020 just in time to help during the pandemic. He was headhunted by Connex Education to return to education as a Covid recovery teacher in November 2021.

Since November 2021 Steve has helped a number of children in Scunthorpe, Grimsby and near my previous home of Pocklington. Since September 2022 He has helped children in an academy chain primary school in Scunthorpe working with Year 6 children, guiding them towards above average results in maths.
