Melissa

Melissa is an experienced Science Tutor and STEM Advocate. With a degree in Biochemistry and postgraduate studies in Chemistry, she qualified as a teacher in 2007 and has been dedicated to science education ever since. She has taught all three sciences—Biology, Chemistry, and Physics—across mainstream schools and previously served as a Head of Science.

Beyond the classroom, Melissa is a passionate advocate for STEM extracurricular activities, inspiring students to explore science beyond the syllabus. Her experience extends internationally, having worked as an education consultant in Germany and Vietnam, where she embraced the diverse educational cultures.

Melissa began tutoring in 2020 and has since supported students from KS2 to KS5 in all three sciences, as well as working extensively with EAL and SEND learners. Her teaching approach is engaging, supportive, and tailored to each student’s needs, helping them build confidence and a love for science.
