Graeme

Graeme qualified as a science teacher in 1995 and worked for 4 years in a Liverpool secondary school before moving to a school near Leeds where he taught from 1999 until his retirement from teaching in the Summer. Prior to teaching, Graeme worked as a research chemist after gaining a PhD in physical chemistry in 1992.
Graeme has taught A level chemistry every year throughout his career and has gained a wide and extensive knowledge of all aspects of the A level specification. In addition, he has taught the chemistry component of the GCSE triple science course extensively as well as all aspects of the combined GCSE science course and KS3 science.
He continues to teach A level chemistry to both Year 12 and Year 13 at the school where he spent the majority of his career, but also now offers private tuition and draws upon his wide experience and enthusiasm for the subject to deliver stimulating sessions. Graeme works by making every effort to allow everyone to achieve their full potential in a relaxing and caring environment. He believes that a sense of humour is very important and loves to see the positive results when a student develops their confidence in themselves and their ability to succeed.
