Zoe

Zoe qualified as a teacher in 2003, having completed a PGCE at the University of Leeds. She began her career working at a school in inner-city Leeds where she gained a wealth of experience teaching across Key Stage Two. These early years of teaching are where Zoe developed her understanding of the impact of positive relationships on children; having a deep understanding of individual children and their needs, enables a personalised curriculum to be developed which will have maximum impact on their learning.

Moving to a school in East Leeds as Deputy Headteacher, gave Zoe the chance to further develop her knowledge and understanding of most aspects of Primary Education. In particular, being responsible for curriculum development and assessment means that she has a depth of understanding across all subjects of the primary curriculum.

Teaching continues to be her passion though and it is time engaging children in their learning in exciting and innovative ways that brings her the most satisfaction which is why she has moved away from school leadership to tutoring. Once again being able to deliver exciting learning opportunities to enable children to reach their full potential – whilst having fun!
